Walk-in Wellness Clinic

A barrier-free wellness clinic, accessible without an appointment to students, staff, faculty and community members.

The UBC Walk-in Wellness Clinic on the Okanagan campus is an amazing project we are so happy to support. With our ‘You Comment – We Donate” campaign on April 7th 2021 for UBC’s Giving Day we donated over $5,000 towards this project with your help. You can read more about this campaign here.

About the Clinic

The clinic was launched in an effort to address urgent issues related to mental health. One in 5 Canadians have a mental health diagnosis, and 6 in 10 primary care visits are for mental health issues, or consequences of chronic health conditions. A recent survey of Canadian students showed that 89% of students feel overwhelmed in their daily life. Whether you are a student, faculty, staff or community member who is struggling, we are here to help.

Our clinic started out as a five-week trial in the fall of 2018, but is now a permanent part of the Psychology Clinic on campus. We are happy to be able to provide this service to our community on a permanent basis.
